Once again, Bourbonnais Fire Protection District (BFPD) members came to Arbor Grove to assist our neighbors needing to change batteries in their smoke detectors. In some cases, expired smoke detectors were identified and homeowners advised to purchase new detectors and contact the fire district to schedule a time to install the new detectors. 

 

While several Firefighter/Paramedics were here to help, we did catch a couple pictures of Lt. Jeremiah Romein and Firefighter Marcus Covington to share.

 

All of us extend our sincere thanks to BFPD, not just for today, but for all the times they come to the needs of residents of the District.

 

 

 

At the August meeting, the Board of Directors approved the 2027 budget and reserve plan, as recommended by the Finance Committee, as well as the proposed amended declarations. This is an update on potential damage to our roofs from the recent hailstorm. As mentioned at our last board meeting, we were investigating potential damage and the extent of the remedy required to proceed with filing any claims resulting from the March 10th hail storm. 
 
We did file a claim with our insurance carrier and have requested that they come on-site to evaluate all 27 roofs for possible damage/claims. We anticipate that this will commence in the coming weeks. As always, we will keep you informed once we have solid information to reveal. In the meantime, if you notice any leaks caused by the storm, please notify us immediately. We will have our contractor out to address it.
