The men of Arbor Grove will be hosting our second annual Mother's Day Breakfast on Saturday May 9, 2026, from 8 am to10 am in our clubhouse! We will cook for you, serve you and clean up at the end of the event. The breakfast menu will be coffee, juice, biscuits and gravy and fruit. This is another way for us gentlemen to show our love and support to our ladies who take good care of us throughout the year. A sign-up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board. Weather permitting, mowing will be done tomorrow Tuesday 4/14 a little earlier in the morning than usual and fertilizer applied in the afternoon. Normal mowing schedule will resume next week, being done on Wednesday's.

On Saturday April 11 my father, Jim Johnson, quietly passed away in his home. He was 88 years old.
Jim and his wife “Sue” of 58 years, moved to Arbor Grove from Minnesota in September of 2016 to live near my brother Bill and I in Bourbonnais. Through the help of some wonderful people and awesome caregivers, he was able to remain in his own home until his passing. Although you have seen less of him in the past year, getting outside and walking to the mailbox or around the lake was something he loved to do when he could do it. Seeing neighbors and dog friends and checking the lake for Heron’s or Ducks was a highlight of his day.
