Get ready for our big Kentucky Derby party. The fun starts at 3:30 p.m. There will be mint juleps, multiple ways to bet on the horses and split the pot. Set your betting $ aside now! Find a hat, wear your finest. We will be “Churchill Downs North” that afternoon. Of course you can BYOB anything else you want to drink. And don’t forget to bring a dish to share. We are making a trip over to Morris again to Lettie Mae’s Tea Room. We will meet at the clubhouse at 10:00 and car pool over. Our lunch will be at 11:00 a.m. After lunch you can spend a little time at the boutiques in Morris. Please sign up at the clubhouse. |

Mother's Day Breakfast

The men of Arbor Grove will be hosting our second annual Mother's Day Breakfast on Saturday May 9, 2026, from 8 am to10 am in our clubhouse! We will cook for you, serve you and clean up at the end of the event. The breakfast menu will be coffee, juice, biscuits and gravy and fruit. This is another way for us gentlemen to show our love and support to our ladies who take good care of us throughout the year. A sign-up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board. For any men who would be interested in helping please call Dominic at 815-953-1267. All of our lovely ladies truly enjoyed the event last year and we aim not to disappoint you this year!!! Fertilizer application

Weather permitting, mowing will be done tomorrow Tuesday 4/14 a little earlier in the morning than usual and fertilizer applied in the afternoon. Normal mowing schedule will resume next week, being done on Wednesday's.
Passing of Jim Johnson

On Saturday April 11 my father, Jim Johnson, quietly passed away in his home. He was 88 years old. Jim and his wife “Sue” of 58 years, moved to Arbor Grove from Minnesota in September of 2016 to live near my brother Bill and I in Bourbonnais. Through the help of some wonderful people and awesome caregivers, he was able to remain in his own home until his passing. Although you have seen less of him in the past year, getting outside and walking to the mailbox or around the lake was something he loved to do when he could do it. Seeing neighbors and dog friends and checking the lake for Heron’s or Ducks was a highlight of his day. Thank You to all the neighbors in Arbor Grove for your kindness and friendly greetings on the many walks. Bob Johnson
