Results of the Annual Meeting of the Board

Thank you to everyone who participated in last evening’s Annual Owners Meeting and to those who voted in this years election. Jerry Kuntz, Jan Krizik-Schmidt and Rosemary Wieliczko were elected to the Board of Directors. Jerry will serve as Member at Large, Jan has accepted the position of Vice President, and Rosemary will continue as Board Secretary. They join Wayne Helgeson, who will continue as President, and Diane Schaafsma, who will continue as Treasurer. Covenant Amendment The proposed covenant change was approved by the owners’ vote. The Covenants are available at any time on the HOA website under Documents/declarations Collection Policy Illinois recently enacted a law requiring HOAs to maintain a written collection policy. This policy, along with the HOA’s other policies, is available on the website under Documents > Policies. You must log in to the website to view it. If you have difficulty logging in, please email rwieliczko@aol.com for assistance. 2027 Budget The 2027 budget was approved and is available on the HOA website under Documents > Financial Reports.
Update on independent roof inspection on potential damage due to the March hailstorm

The independent roof inspection conducted this week did not identify any issues that would warrant a hail-damage claim. However, the inspector did note some instances of wind damage. A small group will meet to review those findings, and determine appropriate next steps. We also intend to include our insurance agent in these discussions after he returns from vacation on 9/15.

Thanks Bourbonnais Fire Protection District!

Once again, Bourbonnais Fire Protection District (BFPD) members came to Arbor Grove to assist our neighbors needing to change batteries in their smoke detectors. In some cases, expired smoke detectors were identified and homeowners advised to purchase new detectors and contact the fire district to schedule a time to install the new detectors.
While several Firefighter/Paramedics were here to help, we did catch a couple pictures of Lt. Jeremiah Romein and Firefighter Marcus Covington to share.
All of us extend our sincere thanks to BFPD, not just for today, but for all the times they come to the needs of residents of the District.
2027 proposed budget/ reserve plan and declaration for Annual Meeting approved

At the August meeting, the Board of Directors approved the 2027 budget and reserve plan, as recommended by the Finance Committee, as well as the proposed amended declarations. These documents will be included with the annual meeting packets delivered to all owners near the end of August. You can preview the budget here or the proposed declarations here. The Clubhouse will be closed this week due to carpet being laid and furniture delivery.
Therefore all activities will be canceled this week, Mahjong, Hand/Foot, Coffee Hour and Game Night. No rentals at this time.
The exercise room will be accessible for use. Please use side entrance.

Community Mass in the Clubhouse

All Catholic residents of Arbor Grove are invited to attend a community Mass in the clubhouse on Friday,October 2nd at 5:30 P.M. celebrated by Father Jason of Maternity BVM Parish. Also welcome are any residents who wish to observe the service. Happy Hour reception to follow. Bring a dish to share, drinks provided. Sign up sheet on bulletin board so seating can be arranged.
